On November 13^th &14^th, the 2^nd Shanghai College Students' Moot Court Contest, hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and undertaken by Koguan Law School of Shanghai Jiaotong University, was held in Xuhui campus of Shanghai Jiaotong University. After two day's fierce competition, the delegations of Law School of Shanghai University of Finance& Economics and Tongji Univeristy  respectively won their battles thus became the champions of  final.  Li Rui, the faculty adviser of Law School was awarded " the best competition faculty advisor. This is the second time for Law School of Shanghai University of Finance& Economics to win the team championship and the best faculty advisor since the contest was held last year for the first time.

Shanghai College Students' Moot Court Contest is a provincial competition hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, which is aimed at improving the legal practice ability of undergraduate students majored in law and promoting mutual communication between law schools in Shanghai in order to set up a high level platform of cultivating outstanding legal elites, and push the developments of legal education career. The problem of this time's contest was provided by experts from Criminal Law Branch of Shanghai Law Society and Law Profession Research Committee of Shanghai Bar Association. Every competition has three judges consisting of judge, public prosecutor and lawyer etc., and results depend on the votes and scores by these three judges. The championship and second place were decided through preliminary contest, resurrection competition, semifinal and final.

Eighteen teams including East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL), Shanghai Jiaotong Univerisity, Fudan University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Tongji University, East China Normal University etc. participated in this moot court contest. Leaders of sponsor and organizer like Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Shanghai Bar Association and Shanghai University etc. presented at opening ceremony and closing ceremony. The team of SUFE Law School includes five members:  Zhou Ya, Zhang Jing, Jiangwen Danyan, Luo Hanjie and Chen Jing, who debated fiercely on the issue whether defendant Mr. Cao constituted intentional infliction of bodily injury resulting in a person's death. After preliminary contest, resurrection competition, semifinal and final, SUFE Law School won Shanghai Jiaotong University, East China University of Political Science and Law etc., and finally became the championship.

The great performance of SUFE Law School in this moot court contest resulted in Law School’s long-term strategy of cultivating outstanding legal personnel, measures of cultivating practical legal personnel, high attention and careful organization of Law School leaders, and full support from the whole school. Law School leaders gave instruction on selection of team members and training arrangement for many times. Powerful material insurance and emotional support was given by the whole Law School. We firmly believe that SUFE Law School will continue to make efforts and gain greater achievements on the road of cultivating outstanding legal personnel.
