In the afternoon of March 22^nd , the full time work agreement signing ceremony for  Professor Mark R. Poustie, a famous international environmental law scholar, was officially held in the law school, which indicates Shufe has made a remarkable progress in the international construction of law study. Dean Li Xueyao, Zhou Jiepu, Ge Weijun, and other relevant person from human resources department participated the signing ceremony.

Professor Poustie has been long served at the university of Strathclyde Institute of Social Sciences as law school dean and vice dean in charge of international affairs, which promoted the cooperation between two universities. At the same time, Professor Poustie was very successful in academic life, has significant research in the area of environmental law, land law, urban planning law, and EU law, leaving great impact on the international template. Also, Professor Poustie was an active practitioner, used to involved in governmental policy making process. He was employed by Shufe and teach international environmental law, EU law class in law school since 2013.

Professor Poustie would also enrich the teachers in our school. While in fact, our law school is among the bests in China. We have 5 Professors, 2 vice Professors, and they have published many influential papers on the focused academic magazines.

With Professor Poustie joining in Shufe at full time, our research ability would be further enhanced. Our environmental law study would be more international and of greater influence. Shufe and its law school would take this as an opportunity to include more youth scholars and professors with international vision, attract more international cooperation program, finally, making the school first-class research template. In the future, Professor Poustie would lead the study of comparative environmental law and international environmental law, and helps to create an “international environmental law research center”, using his own leadership, ability and experience, together with the abundant academic resources to create comprehensive, high-level research group.

From the perspective of teaching and developing, Professor Poustie's joint would also enhance the academic atmosphere for the students and enhance the teaching group of common law program, LLM program and all-English J.D. Program.
