The Summer Program in U.S. Corporate Law and the Legal Practice of International Business(Aug. 8 – 12, 2016) is designed to expose individuals who have studied, or are currently studying, law outside of the U.S. to major concepts in the law and regulation of U.S. business associations as well as transnational commercial law. This one-week summer program is run as a stand-alone component of the three-week, intensive American Law and Language Program (July 26 – Aug. 12, 2016) that provides a broader introduction to U.S. law and American legal training for practicing attorneys, judges, law students, and other professionals with law degrees.

FORMAT & CURRICULUM

The Summer Program in U.S. Corporate Law and the Legal Practice of International Business is a one-week intensive program that, through approximately 24 hours of hands-on instruction, provides training in:

  1. U.S. law of corporations, contracts, and tax
  2. Global trade and commercial transactions
  3. International business arbitration and ADR
  4. Transactional lawyering practice
